VISITOR INFORMATION STATE GOLF

The IHSAA State Golf Championships are a ticketed event. Daily tickets are $10 per person. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 23 at 9:00 AM.

All tickets are digital and available to take to the course through mobile download or printed sheet. All tickets must be purchased through the IHSAA Tickets page. Ticketing this event, like other IHSAA state tournaments, helps ensure improvements for this sport’s events and programs.

Spectators are to remain approximately 25 yards away (ahead of the group is recommended) from the golfers while watching so as not to hinder play. Once players reach the green, spectators should be up with the players even with the green on or near the cart path, so the approach shots of the next group of golfers are not hindered. Spectators should not follow players in the fairway. The only time spectators should be in the fairway is to cross to an adjoining hole, etc. Stay on cart paths or in the rough as you view the golfers and try to stay in front of the group you are viewing.

Spectators may cheer and offer words of encouragement to players. However, extended conversations and other interference with play is subject to warning. If interference with play in any way, shape, or form continues, the individual(s) is subject to being asked to leave the premises by the tournament management.

Spectators may only use cell phones (talk) while at the clubhouse. Spectator cell phones need to be on silent or vibrate while on the course. Spectators are allowed to use their cell phones as a camera but should not use flash during play.

Parking: To maximize space, we ask that schools encourage fans to carpool. Once the main lot is full, fans may use 1900 Drive, Johnston, IA for additional parking (street next to driving range across from golf course). A Hyperion shuttle (8-passenger) will provide rides from that area.

Overflow Shuttle Lot: Additional overflow parking will be available at the Johnston Soccer Fields (4301 NW 66th Ave., Johnston, IA), with shuttle service running every 20-30 minutes.
